“The world does not need more fucking computers and geeky kids beyond what the market demands. This is all about building customers to buy games and shit. More toxic waste for the worlds dumps. More wasted resources on technoshit.”
“In some sense we can say that insurance appears simultaneously with the appearance of human society”
Today I wondered what the history of insurance was, who thought of it etc, to my surprise it has been around since atleast 1750BC. I also renewed my renters insurance today.
“Today is the exact 10 year anniversary of me losing my virginity. In celebration of this fact I am posting a project that I have been working on for a while. I was not thinking about today when I started the project, but when I realized what it was, I thought that this was a perfect time to post it. Enjoy.”

What a wonderful project, a must-read.
I have Safari 3/OSX, Safari 2/OSX, Firefox 2/OSX, Firefox 3/OSX, Opera 9/OSX, Internet Explorer 7/XP (on Parallels), Internet Explorer 6 Standalone/XP (on Parallels), and Firefox 2/XP (on Parallels) installed on my Macbook.
That’s not enough because apparently Internet Explorer 7/Vista and Internet Explorer 6/XP (not Standalone and not on Parallels) behave differently still. I guess I need to install Vista on my Macbook too. Awesome.
Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of Balance is a 1982 film directed by Godfrey Reggio with music composed by minimalist composer Philip Glass and cinematography by Ron Fricke.
The film took about six years to make. Three years were spent shooting the film. Glass and Reggio spent an additional three years in a state of collaboration, with Glass composing score to fit the film and Reggio re-cutting the footage to fit the score. (More info on Wikipedia).
I’ve attempted to watch this film twice while flying and have yet to make it all the way through without falling asleep, but it is pretty fantastic so far.
