My stepdad grew up sailing around the world and Suzy lived on their house boat helping to raise him and his brothers when she was 18 to 21 yrs old. He hasn’t seen her in 30 years but they stay in touch and I used my time in south France as an opportunity to visit.
She was one of the highlights of my trip, with infectious delight we devoured pizza (i cheated), drank wine in the garden, and finally watched Some Like It Hot (5 stars). She’s invited me back anytime and I intend to take her up on that offer!
