Pangea Day, May 10th, 2008
“Pangea Day is a global event bringing the world together through film.”
On May 10th, from 2pm to 6pm EST, the world will gather to watch 24 short films (selected from 2500 submissions) selected to inspire, transform, and allow us see the world through another person’s eyes. It will be broadcast online, in selected theatres, at large events around the world etc.
Pangea Day is the result of Jehane Noujaim winning the TED Prize in 2006 with a grant of $100,000 to help make it happen. Watch the original announcement and her vision for the event:
