Gift 1: Bon Iver's 2005 Self-Release

Every day of December I’m going to try and give you guys something new and exciting. Could be music, could be me sending you something in the mail. Stay tuned and enjoy my favorite season of the year.

Today’s gift is Justin Vernon’s (aka Bon Iver) self-released album from 2005, 3 years before he released one of the best albums of this year (For Emma, Forever Ago). It’s 17 tracks including some live stuff, some Neutral Milk Hotel-ish ambient noise, and enough folk/country to fill in the gaps. Really beautiful stuff.
